Pangong Lake, situated at a height of almost 4,350m, is the world’s highest saltwater lake. Pangong Tso is located nearly 150 kms of east of Leh Ladakh. This is very much close to India Tibet border. Leh to Pangong road is very much interesting and second highest pass called Changla will be en route. Its water, which seems to be dyed in blue, stand in stark contrast to the arid mountains surrounding it
Nearly 10 kms further from man village worth visiting Merak village which is the last border village of this section. From Merak you can see the most popular Pangong 5 fingers peaks towards Tibet border. You can visit to see Indian Astronomical Observatory was installed to study for solar chromosphere.
Rezang La, also known as Rechin La is one of the most important place in India with Ladakh and Tiber border in the east of Ladakh. It is Line of Actual Control between Indian-administered Ladakh and the Chinese-administered Spanggur Lake.
